Public Forum on Tuition and Fees

Members of the IU Board of Trustees conducted a public forum to discuss tution and fees for the 2004-05 school year on Tuesday, March 23. The forum was convened in Indianapolis, telecast live to each IU campus throughout Indiana and streamed live via the Internet.

An eight month search concluded today when members of Indiana University's Board of Trustees voted to appoint Adam W. Herbert as the 17th president of IU. The Trustees' meeting and Dr. Herbert's press conference were carried live around the world on the Internet and on television throughout the state of Indiana.

"The Nicest Day in the History of IUPUI" celebration honoring the Bepkos for their commitment to IUPUI will be streamed live here on broadcast.iu.edu and archived for future viewing.

Ford president helps to dedicate new Graduate and Executive Education Center

Indiana University's Kelley School of Business dedicated its new state-of-the-art Graduate and Executive Education Center on Nov. 22. The ceremony featured a keynote address by Nick Scheele, president and chief operating officer of Ford Motor Co., who spoke on the subject of business ethics.

Dedication of Neal/Marshall Center

IU formally opened the new Department of Theatre and Drama Center and the Marcellus Neal and Frances Marshall Black Culture Center on Jan. 18. Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, noted authors, actors and activists, presented the keynote address in the building's Ruth N. Halls Theatre.


Brehm Installed as Bloomington Chancellor
October 10, 2001
Indiana University officially installs Sharon Stephens Brehm as IU Bloomington chancellor in a ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 4 p.m. in the IU Auditorium. Brehm, who served as provost at Ohio University from 1996 to 2001, was selected in March to succeed Kenneth Gros Louis, who retired from the position after 21 years. Brehm officially began her duties at IU on July 1.

Herman Wells Sculpture Dedication Ceremony

HE'LL ALWAYS BE WAITING FOR YOU - A new life-sized sculpture of the late IU Chancellor Herman B Wells was dedicated Saturday, October 21 during IU Bloomington's Homecoming weekend. The sculpture, the work of IU South Bend fine arts professor Tuck Langland, captures Wells in a familiar setting: greeting his many friends on campus with a smile. A little ditty about John and some grads

Popular musician John Mellencamp is used to playing before packed arenas, but he performed in a different venue May 6 when he gave the 171st Commencement address at IU Bloomington. If you were unable to join the 6,186 graduates and their nearly 30,000 friends and family members at Memorial Stadium, IU is making it possible for you join in the celebration by viewing the entire Commencement ceremony here on the Web.
 
"A Celebration of a Life: Remembering the Life of Herman B Wells"

A celebration of the life of former IU Chancellor Herman B Wells, who transformed the lives of generations of people, was held at the IU Auditorium in Bloomington. The event was broadcast live by the public television station at Indiana University, WTIU-Ch. 30.
