2008 State of the University address caps "Celebrate IU" activitiesFor more than 185 years, IU has saluted academic achievement and marked milestones with ceremonies that are rich in pageantry and tradition. Join us in the month of October 2008 for President Michael A. McRobbie’s first State of the University address, the groundbreaking for the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute at IUPUI, and the dedication of a new eye clinic in Bloomington, a fountain at IPFW, and IU Southeast’s first residence halls.

Tuesday, October 14 IU President Michael McRobbie's first annual State of the University Address provides an update on his strategic priorities for IU and discusses the university's progress in achieving new heights of excellence in education and research.To view an archived stream of the president's address (stream will be available approx 3 hours following the address) Thursday, October 2 The Department of Economics at Indiana University presented James B. Bullard, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, for a public lecture on the state of the U.S. economy on Thursday (Oct. 2).
